A 62-year-old is facing charges after an investigation in Thunder Bay.
Officers were sent to Cumberland Street North on Sunday after receiving a report that a man who had been accused of committing sexual assault was present.
Officers spoke to the caller when they got on the scene, and they were told a female youth had been sexually assaulted by a man who knew her.
The suspect was identified and arrested.
As a result, a 62-year-old is facing the following charges:
- Sexual assault
- Sexual interference
- Sexual exploitation
The accused’s name is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.
They remain in custody with a future court date.
