Man Charged After North End Stabbing

A 29-year old Thunder Bay man is facing an aggravated assault charge after a north side incident.

Police say they were called to a Cumberland Street north area near Munro at around 5:30 this morning to reports a man had been stabbed in the chest.

When they got there, they found employees of a nearby Tim Hortons restaurant helping him.

Police learned the victim and assailant knew each other, adding an argument had taken place on Egan Street, and the stabbing followed.

Police say they saw the accused driving on Cumberland, and arrested him without any problem.

The victim was treated at hospital for his injuries.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
