Man Charged After Dollarama Robbery

An armed robbery has led to charges against a 25-year-old Thunder Bay man.

City police say it was late Friday morning when they were called to the Dollarama store on Edward Street for a weapons call.

They found the suspect had pointed a gun at staff, made threats, and then took off.

Police soon found him, adding he had stolen store merchandise.

Not long after, they say they found a fake gun believed to be the one used in the robbery.

The suspect was in bail court, and remains in custody.
