Man Charged After Armed Breaking and Entering

A 34-year-old city man is in custody after a north side residence was robbed by an armed intruder.

Police say the incident happened early Wednesday morning around 1 o’clock on Ravenwood Avenue between Crooks Street and Academy Drive.

They say the resident heard someone in their basement and when they went to check the invader pointed a firearm and threatened them. Police later found a person they claim is on probation and who matched the suspect’s description.

He now faces six charges in connection with the incident.
