Lakehead University’s researcher Dr. Matt Tocheri is headed back to Indonesia to study the life of the extinct ‘hobbits.’
Tocheri says his research has focused on the past 50,000 years when the ‘hobbits,’ or Homo floresiensis, were not around.
He explains his work has tried to determine when our species emerged, adding it also provides information on how we can compare humans to Homo floresiensis.
Tocheri will be back in the Indonesian island of Flores from June through August this summer to conduct his research.
