It promises to be the biggest city council meeting this year. Councillors will be voting Thursday on whether or not to built the event centre.
Lakehead University Economics Professor Liveo Di Matteo believes now may not be the best time to built the new structure.
He says if someone asked him a year ago if he supported the project, he would have said yes, but now believes it may be wiser to delay it.
