LRCA Closes Office, Postpones Public Events

The Lakehead Region Conservation Authority is taking steps to limit the spread of COVID-19.

The LRCA’s office at 130 Conservation Road is now closed to the public until further notice. Officials say all essential services including the LRCA’s Flood Forecasting and Warning operations remain active. They also note that conservation areas remain open to the public as well.

However, the LRCA already postponed a number of open houses that were to be held later this month.
