Thunder Bay is in the path of a low-pressure system from Colorado, which looks to bring lots of rain.
Environment Canada states the rainfall will begin Monday afternoon and is expected to intensify at night.
Total precipitation is forecasted to be 40 to 50 mm before it tapers off on Tuesday morning.
Spokesperson Gerald Cheng tells us flooding in low-lying areas is possible, and visibility on roads could be difficult during the storm.
Cheng adds temperatures will go below seasonal later this week, bringing with it snow.
