Lots Of April Showers Headed Our Way

Thunder Bay is getting lots of rain.

Meteorologist Peter Kimbell says about 25 to 40 millimetres of rain is expected to fall starting Wednesday morning at around 7 o’clock or so.

“And then we’ll probably have about a 36 hour period of rain, not heavy but continuous,” explains Kimbell.

He adds the rain will be “Heavy at times but it’s not going to be a thunderstorm type of heavy rainfall, so we are not looking for flash flooding or anything, but…it could still cause some issues.”

The meteorologist is forecasting the gloomy conditions will continue into next week with scattered showers likely throughout the period.
