There are no injuries to report after a log loader caught fire at Resolute Saw Mill.
Thunder Bay Fire and Rescue was called around 9 o’clock Monday morning to find the fire near the main building of the plant. The person using the loader was able to get out safely.
The fire department says it took a while to get this under control, due to the amount of fuel and hydraulic fluid in the vehicle. Care was also taken to make sure the fire did not spread to a nearby building and wood supply.
Damage is extensive, with the cause believed to be an overheating engine.
