The Lakehead Public School Board officials are mourning the loss of one of their own.
Bruce Nugent, who handled the board’s public relations, died unexpectedly on Sunday.
The board tweeted “Bruce truly represented all the best of Lakehead Public Schools. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Sharlene and his sons Liam and Aidan.”
Nugent was very active in the community with his involvement in various charities including The Roots to Harvest, Shelter House, and the Rotary Club.
He spent 17 years with the Lakehead Public School Board as their Communications Officer.
