Local Man Creates Online Word Game

A Thunder Bay man is bringing his word game to your cellphones. Local contractor and inventor Dennis Seargeant tells us he came up with this game over two decades ago in 1995 saying it was his hobby. Seargeant went to local tech company Qwantech to create the app and bring the game online.

The creator of ONWORD tells us his game is a challenging, fun word game that features solo play or competition among friends. Seargeant tells us he played it with his family members and typically his wife would beat him. He adds visiting family members like his sister found the game very addictive playing it over 200 times during her stay in Thunder Bay.

The game can be downloaded for free on Google Play and the iTunes App Store. You can play online HERE.

Qwantech is a software development company headquartered in Thunder Bay. Director Greg Hill tells us the company has been operating in Thunder Bay for eleven years. The company creates its own apps and does custom software for clients.
