Lightning Strikes On South Side

There was a major lightning strike on the city’s south side.

A fire official tells us during the height of this afternoons storm a lightning bolt struck a large spruce tree on the 2100 block of Isabella Street in the Waterloo Street area.

The tree snapped, caught fire and fell on a power line. That 25,000 volt line then came crashing down.

It caused some power outages in the area which hydro workers with Synergy North got to work on immediately

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
