Licence Fees Going Up

Get ready to hand out even more money to keep your vehicle on the road in Ontario.

Starting September 1st, the annual fee to renew your licence will go from the current $81.50 to $90.

When it comes to vehicle renewal, it’ll be an increase of $6 in northern Ontario, and $12 in southern Ontario.

There are other increases including those that renew after being suspended from driving and those owning a motorcycle.

The province says it needs the money to maintain Ontario’s infrastructure in roads, bridges and public transit.
