Legal Aid will no longer cover the costs of bail hearings.
It’s some of the changes Legal Aid Ontario is making in light of a 30 percent reduction in provincial funding to its budget.
The provincial agency lists a number services it will no longer fund or scale down.
Legal Aid Ontario says their priority remains to provide quality frontline service while regularly reviewing programs to better and more efficiently deliver them.
