Lakers stumble, North Stars take commanding lead

The Kam River Fighting Walleye scored three times on the power play to score a 4-1 win over the Fort Frances Lakers. Eron Mitchell had a pair of goals and an assist to lead the attack for the Walleye.

Fort Frances still holds a two games to one series lead with game four tonight in Thunder Bay.

Meanwhile, across town the Thunder Bay North Stars edged the Dryden GM Ice Dogs 3-1. The series has been a low scoring affair. There was no scoring in the first 40 minutes of play as goalies Morgan Blackwood and Mavric Welk held the opposition at bay. Thunder Bay takes a three games to one series lead in the SIJHL semi-final as they head back to Dryden Friday night at 7:00pm.
