Oliver Talks Police Services Board

The work continues for the new chair of the Police Services Board.

Westfort Councillor Kristen Oliver is adjusting to the role change after receiving the title Tuesday, replacing Georjann Morriseau.

“There were recommendations that came down from the Ontario Civilian Police Commission that we have to accomplish. These tasks are a process and so we’ve made some gains certainly but we have more to do,” says Kristen Oliver, when discusses some of the goals that she wants to tackle as the new chair. ” I also want to work on building relationships with the indigenous people in this community and their leadership. I think they’re an integral part about how our police services board functions.”

Kristen Oliver has been on the board since 2018.
