There’s another community in northwestern Ontario which is under threat from a forest fire.
The Ministery of Natural Resources and Forestry is reporting Red Lake Fire Number 23 is about 16 kilometres southwest of the community of Keewaywin, located 500 kilometres northwest of Thunder Bay.
This fire is currently 37,400 hectares in size.
There are 19 active fires burning in the region.
Six are not under control.
