Journey To Life Centre Takes Shape

Work is underway on the Salvation Army’s Journey to Life Centre.

Officials say fundraising for their new building is at 55% of their $2.5 million objective.

The total cost of the new three-story building is estimated at $15.5 million.

Major Lori Mitchell tells us it’s exciting to be so close to the finish line. “To be at the point where we are just looking for the final community support is really exciting.”

Construction of the new 30,000 square foot building is expected to be finished by August 2020.

You can help out by taking part in the fundraiser tonight, that’s Wednesday, at the Picnic in the Park at Current River Park from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Donations will be accepted at the picnic.
