Jazz music and….cows!

This should definitely put a smile on your face.  A farm just outside of Manchester, England called Smithills Open Farm has people talking.  Why?

The owner has treated her herd of dairy cows with a live jazz band.  The hope is the music will boost milk production.  The six-piece band called The Dixiebeats played for the cows, after the owner read that jazz music actually increases milk production by up to 5%.  One cow stood out. Her name is Peggy.  She loved it.  Peggy came right up to the gate and wouldn’t leave and at one point started licking one of the trumpets!  LOL (you can’t make this stuff up).

It was a 30 minute session, with the farm owner planning to do this a few times a month.
