Thunder Bay man facing drug related charges after initially being stopped for not stopping at a stop sign.
The officer stopping the suspect on the city’s south side around 4:15 a.m. Thursday at the corner of McLeod and Christie Streets.
The driver refusing a roadside field sobriety test and tried to flee the scene.
The officer found cash, suspected cocaine, suspected fentanyl, paraphernalia and a pair of non-firearm prohibited weapons.
The 62 year old is charged with:
- Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Flight from Peace Officer
- Two counts of Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
- Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand
