Indoor Yoga Returns For Step 3

After the uncertainty and stress of the COVID-19 pandemic, many will be able to enjoy a calming hobby.

Indoor yoga classes will be allowed Friday as part of Step 3 of Ontario’s Roadmap to Reopen.

“We’re super excited to offer our indoor classes like hot yoga and Pilates, and gentle yoga to help people feel good again,” says The BodyMind Centre Owner Erin May. “Because of the conditions we’ve been very disconnected the last year and a half, and a lot of healing happens when we’re in a community and yoga classes together. That’s an important part of the message. There’s nothing like being in person with instructors with that family feeling.”

May goes on to explain that even though they have been unable to have indoor classes, that does not mean they haven’t been busy.

“Actually we’ve been renovating,” May noted. “We’ve actually changed the whole look in our place, we’re painting everything so it has a whole new look.”

The BodyMind Centre at 105 Villa Street has been giving outdoor yoga classes throughout Step 2 of the reopening.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
