Canada’s Indigenous communities are being hit hard by the second wave of the pandemic.
Indigenous Services Canada says there have been almost 1,100 new cases in the past week.
Among Indigenous communities, 2,200 cases are considered active now.
Out of those, 200 are impacting Indigenous communities in Ontario.
Indigenous adults are supposed to be among the first to receive the vaccine but the government is still working on the logistics of making it available.
