Thunder Bay’s new mayor and city councillors will be sworn in this evening at City Hall.
City Clerk John Hannam tells us the inaugural meeting will include all the traditional pomp and circumstance which includes bagpipes along with an Indigenous ceremony.
Right after he is sworn in as mayor, Bill Mauro will give his inaugural address which is expected to set the tone for his next four years as the leader of council.
The only additional city business taking place will be the selection of acting mayors for each month of the year.
