Local Driver Faces Impaired Driving Charges

A 52 year old Thunder Bay man has an appearance in court in his future to face impaired driving charges.

The charges were the result of a multi-vehicle collision just before 1:45 p.m. Monday in the Harbour Expressway and Highway 11/17 area.

The police investigation revealed that the driver of a white pick-up truck had entered the left-turn lane on the Expressway and collided with a row of vehicles that were stopped at the red light.

The driver was found to have a Blood Alcohol Concentration of 238 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood.

The charges include:

  • Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
  • Operation of a Motor Vehicle While Impaired
  • Operation of a Motor Vehicle While Impaired Blood Alcohol Concentration
  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
