Hydro One says over 1,400 customers from Kenora to Thunder Bay are still without power.
Electricity went out last night around 10:00 due to severe thunderstorms right across the region.
There are more than 500 homes without power in the Kenora area, 250 in the Dryden area and 500 just east of Thunder Bay.
Hydro One says most of the homes should have power again by late this afternoon.
