The RCMP in Manitoba says they have found some human remains just north of Beausejour.
Police found the remains in Stead on Sunday morning while trying to locate 40-year-old Clifford Joseph.
He was reported missing at the beginning of June.
The identity of the deceased person remains to be determined.
The search for Joseph led to a week-long manhunt for 34-year-old Eric Wildman, who was eventually arrested in Belleville, Ontario.
Wildman faces a number of charges and is a suspect in Joseph’s disappearance.
