How much does it cost to raise a child in Canada?

With inflation numbers rising, this question was trending over the weekend:

“How much does it cost to raise a child in Canada”?

The number has increased in the past couple of years. From BIRTH to 18……….it’s about $280,000. (More than a quarter of a million dollars). Experts are saying it’s a bit more manageable, if you break it down by years: about $15,500 annually / or $1,300 a month (a bit more manageable???). Really?

If you’re in the planning stages, experts say it’s really one of the biggest expenses a person will have over the next 18 years of their life. (AND THAT’S JUST ONE CHILD……………..!!!!)
