Hospital Dealing With Senior Staff Departures

The departure of senior staff members from the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre is creating speculation about how many more might leave the hospital.

The movement to the Local Heath Integration Network included two leaders at the senior leadership level, a senior director, along with a director and manager.

While hospital official Amanda Bjorn appears confident the five who left for the LHIN are not the tip of the iceberg, she can’t say “what opportunities will present themselves in our community in the future.”

She attributes the staff losses to the departure earlier this year of Rhonda Crocker Ellacott to lead the LHIN.

Bjorn believes any “savvy CEO” will take the people from the organization they are familiar with.
