Hospital CEO Set To Retire

Saying it is time for him to “let go,” Regional Hospital CEO Jean Bartkowiak has announced his retirement.

He has been leading the hospital for four years and will officially step down in January of 2021.

The hospital CEO believes there are “younger prospective candidates” who he believes should be offered the challenge.

Bartkowiak has worked in health care for almost 40 years and the last 30 as a top administrator. He believes he has “given the system a good chunk of (his) experience, energy, and wisdom.”

He says he is “very happy” that during his tenure, the hospital has evolved into “its true regional role” with programing and support from the other area hospitals.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
