Historic Site Recognized

Canada is recognizing the national historic importance of a site on the outskirts of Thunder Bay.

Located on the north shore of Lake Superior the site witnessed thousands of years of Indigenous people living there and was discovered by a local archeologist in the early 1960’s.

A plaque was unveiled on Sunday at the site detailing its historic significance.
