Hike For Hospice Goes Virtual

Local charities are looking to revamp their major fundraisers in a COVID-19 world.

The 2020 Hike for Hospice is no different and will be taking place virtually on September 13th.

Hospice Northwest Executive Director Cherie Kok says a big part of their event is a memorial the remembers those we’ve lost.

Kok says that too will continue just differently.

“We are asking people when they sign up if they want to provide a picture of their loved one, and their picture will be part of that video that we watch together online at 10:30 am the day of the walk September 13th,” Kok said.

Instead of everyone gathering to walk around Boulevard Lake you are invited to walk on a path you have selected like in your neighbourhood or a nearby trail.

You can sign up on Hospice Northwest’s website.
