A collision between two semi-transport trailer units on the Trans-Canada Highway near Shabaqua Corners has closed both lanes of traffic.
Highway 17 was closed shortly after 6 pm.
The OPP say injuries are being assessed.
The highway is closed all the way to Highway 599 near Ignace.
There has been no indication of how long the road will be closed for.
