Highway 17 is closed in both directions in Wawa.
The OPP is advising motorists to avoid any unnecessary travel as driving conditions are deteriorating.
Environment Canada has put a weather advisory and warnings in place along much of the Superior north shore.
Snow and reduced visibility is possible.
