Hear Tim Hicks’ interview with Dee: Karaoke tour prep, a brand‑new album, and one wild Thunder Bay dressing‑room fan story.

Country fans – this one’s a ride.

I had such a great time chatting with Tim Hicks this morning on Country 105 ahead of his stop in Thunder Bay on his Going Somewhere Tour, and we covered everything: the new album (also called Going Somewhere, out May 22), life on the road, how he gets ready for tour… and yes, the crazy fan story that happened when he played at The Outpost.

We also talked about Tim’s pre‑tour ritual, which somehow involves karaoke, and he even revealed his alias karaoke name lol!

From songwriting to road life to his massive hit “Going Somewhere” and the rare decision to record a song he didn’t write himself. We covered it all. And the timing couldn’t be better: Tim hits the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium stage May 24th, which honestly feels like the most fitting weekend possible for a guy whose music basically is a long‑weekend soundtrack.

He’s bringing the energy, the new music, and the stories.

  • Hi (Cześć/Pryvit) I'm Dee, your morning voice on Country 105! Born of Polish and Ukrainian roots, I’ve inherited the sacred talent of feeding people until they burst. When I'm not cooking up a storm, I’m scouring Canada for unique treasures and foraging for mushrooms like it’s a national sport. Come for the country tunes, stay for the stories & snacks!
