Thunder Bay’s District Health Unit is reporting five new cases of COVID-19.
One of the people who got the virus worked at the Lac Des Illes mine and is a man in his 30s. That person is self-isolating.
A man and woman in their 30s from First Nation communities near Thunder Bay are in self-isolation and got the virus from being in close contact with someone with the illness.
A man in his 40s and a woman in her 70s from the Thunder Bay and surrounding area are also in self-isolation. The man got the virus from being in contact with someone with the virus, while it’s not known how the woman contracted the virus.
We now have 60 confirmed cases, and 39 cases have been resolved so far.
