Thunder Bay’s health unit is monitoring four outbreaks in the district.
Chartwell Glacier Ridge Retirement Residence is dealing with a facility-wide COVID-19 outbreak.
Hogarth Riverview Manor is dealing with two COVID outbreaks in the 2 North – Lavender Resident Home Area and the 2 South – Bluebell Resident Home Area.
The long-term care home also has an enteric outbreak in the 7 South – Violet Resident Home Area.
Meanwhile, two COVID outbreaks at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre in the 2A and 3B areas have been declared over.
A COVID-19 outbreak at St. Joseph’s Hospital in the 5 South – Geriatric Assessment and Rehabilitative Care Area has also been declared over.
Outbreaks are declared when gastrointestinal or respiratory symptoms increase among the residents.
