An attack with a hammer has landed an Atikokan man in jail. Provincial Police say a man was assaulted with a hammer during a dispute on Gorrie Street in Atikokan. A 48-year-old man was treated for minor injuries and released from hospital. OPP say Oscar Desmeules has been charged with assault with a weapon and failing to comply with a probation order. He’s in custody and due in court on June 2nd.
