Hajdu Stresses They’re Taking Action To Fight Climate Change

The time for climate action is right now.

Those words began a statement from Thunder Bay-Superior North Member of Parliament Patty Hajdu in response to a protest Friday by Fridays for Future in front of her constituency office on Red River Road.

“Our government is taking action, and has made historic steps towards creating a clean, green economy, so that our beautiful country is protected and healthy for generations to come,” the statement added. “We are listening, and making major investments in clean tech, electric vehicles, Green Bonds, conservation and recovery, and sustainability measures in all sectors.”

Hajdu noted that Prime Minister (Justin) Trudeau’s recently announced agreement with the NDP means the shared priorities and climate goals can be advanced with the support of elected leaders from coast to coast to coast.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
