Group Opposes Milwaukee Suburb’s Plan To Use Michigan Water

Thunder Bay mayor Keith Hobbs says the city of Waukesha, Wisconsin is using water from Lake Michigan, and it’s adversely affecting the five Great Lakes.

The mayor is part of a group of representatives from around the lakes opposing the plan by the city just west of Milwaukee to divert water for its own use.

Hobbs says the city claims it doesn’t have healthy enough underground resources, but he doesn’t believe that.

Hobbs adds Thunder Bay is affected by the differing water levels for shipping, swimming and drinking water.
