Groundbreaking for Elders Lodge in Aroland

An Elders Lodge on the Aroland First Nation is closer to reality.

A ground-breaking ceremony is taking place today.

The building will cost in excess of $20.5 million and funding will come from the Green and Inclusive Community Buildings program.

When complete the Elders Lodge will be a net-zero carbon building and offer 20 private suites.

A community feast will follow the ground-breaking ceremony.
