Now over 3,000 cases of the novel coronavirus per day and 1,364 lives lost in Wisconsin.
Sobering numbers from the Badger State, which set a single day record for deaths from COVID-19 this past week with 28.
“We’re testing over 20% positive of almost 10,000 people a day.” says Tom Palzewicz, who’s running for the Democratic Party in the 5th Congressional District. “In Green Bay the hospitals are actually to the point where they’re going to be overwhelmed in the next week or so.”
To say Palzewicz is concerned with how the response has been in his state would be an understatement.
Congressional Candidate Tom Palzewicz
“The Republicans in our state have been taking our Governor [Tony Evers] to court every time he’s tried to do something,” notes Palzewicz. “[Evers] put a mask mandate in, which he has the authority to do for 60 days. Well the 60 day time period expired and he renewed the mask mandate and [Republicans] keep taking him to court. I think [Wisconsinites] are just tired of the fighting of which political party is correct and they just want to see bipartainship to get results.”
NOTE: Palzewicz is on the ballot with Republican Scott Fitzgerald, who hasn’t returned calls from Acadia Broadcasting for comment
