Residents of Greenstone and Nipigon will benefit from important wastewater improvement projects thanks to joint funding from both levels of government.
Greenstone will use its funding to support upgrades to their Main Street sanitary system.
These improvements will help increase sewer capacity and reduce the risk of overflow during periods of peak demand.
Nipigon will use its funding for the replacement of water and sewer mains and associated roadwork.
The new advanced water and sewer mains will help improve the efficiency and reliability of the wastewater treatment facility, raise water pressures in elevated areas, and allow for future growth west of town.
