Mines Minister Michael Gravelle is again defending his government’s commitment to the proposed Ring of Fire mining development.
The NDP say that Cliffs Natural Resources, once a major player, has been openly mocking the process, and wonder whether the project is dead. Gravelle says “that could not be more wrong” adding the government is moving “diligently and actively” in the Ring of Fire and working on a plan they are “actually implementing”.
Gravelle says there’s still “significant continued industry interest” in the giant mining project.
