An official with Thunder Bay Fire & Rescue reports a “substantial” grass fire up Arthur Street West is now under control.
He told our newsroom it is located in the area of the 20th Sideroad and was called in late in the afternoon.
City firefighters had help in battling the stubborn blaze from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry.
One witness says police were closing off a section of Arthur Street and routing traffic around the fire scene. (File Photo)
