Geraldton motorist charged with stunt driving

A Geraldton man faces several charges after a vehicle was clocked doing well above the posted speed limit on the Trans Canada Highway.

Provincial Police say they were alerted about the vehicle by several complaints from other motorists.

When they tracked the vehicle down near Nipigon, OPP clocked it doing 157 kilometres an hour on a road limited to 90 km/hr.

The 20-year-old was charged with stunt driving.

He was also charged with impaired driving.

He will be in court in March to answer to the charges.
