FWFN Vaccinations Continuing

The vaccine rollout on the Fort William First Nation resumes this week.

Chief Peter Collins tells us to this point about 335 members have received the vaccine with another 500 still to get the shot.

Some 30 members will be inoculated on Tuesday while over 300 are expected to get the second round of doses on Thursday and Friday.

Chief Collins notes no member of the community who can get a vaccine will be turned down, but stresses they must register.

A member of the community called our newsroom to wonder why his elderly mother has not been vaccinated.

The First Nation is currently in a state of emergency as the result of cases there.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
