Meet Alf – a handsome boy estimated to be about 4 years old. Alf’s story is heartbreaking. He was found abandoned in an apartment building, left to fend for himself. Despite his rough start, Alf has proven to be an incredibly sweet and affectionate companion.
Alf is neutered and is FIV+, but don’t let that scare you away! He’s a chatty guy with a purr you can hear from miles away. He loves nothing more than giving “hugs” to anyone who picks him up. If you’re looking for a cat who will shower you with love and attention, Alf is your guy.
Because of his FIV status, Alf needs with preferably no other cats, or a home with other FIV+ cats.
What Does FIV+ Mean for Cats?
FIV stands for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, which affects a cat’s immune system. It is similar to HIV in humans, but it cannot infect people. Cats with FIV can live long, happy lives, but their immune systems are weaker, making them more susceptible to infections and illnesses.
