Friends of Chippewa Park Before Council Tonight

The Friends of Chippewa Park is pleading their case to Council, tonight.

The group plans to petition to keep their wildlife exhibIt open, in light of a suggestion made by Councillor Rebecca Johnson last week that the city close the zoo as a way to pare down on budget costs.

In a recent press release, the president of the group called the exhibit a “worthwhile investment of public property tax dollars.”

Council will also hear deputations from the general public for the last time before budget ratification next month.
