Double Digit Day of COVID-19 Cases

The local health unit is reporting 26 new COVID-19 cases.

Here’s the breakdown:

  • One new case in hospital
  • 19 obtained through close contact
  • Three cases are pending
  • Two cases obtained through the Chartwell Hilldale outbreak
  • One case tied to the Thunder Bay District Jail outbreak
  • One case cause pending

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit also says that 11 cases have been resolved.

The new cases means the active count is up to 121.

The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting 11 new cases of coronavirus; Ten of those come from the Kenora area and one from the Rainy River District.

In the province 1,076 new COVID-19 cases and 18 deaths.
